The Internal Medicine Residency program at Baptist Memorial Hospital–North Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, offers a well-rounded, unopposed, and unique training experience for physicians in a setting that is second-to-none. Twelve PGY1 Resident Physicians make up the first class, and efforts are underway to recruit the next 12 PGY1 resident physicians to join us in the summer of 2022.
Our mission is to train clinically and procedurally competent physicians in the specialty of Internal Medicine who will provide high quality, safe, cost-effective, and patient/family-centered care for adults in North Mississippi, upholding the greater Baptist Memorial Health Care mission of "Healing, Preaching and Teaching".
Energetic and pioneering, the first resident physicians ever in Oxford, MS, joined with a core faculty and teaching staff with decades of experience to create an innovative and first-class learning and working experience that centers around camaraderie, resilience, mentorship, leadership, and well-being.
