Meet Our Core Faculty; Shayan Q. Butt, MD

Evidence based practice and continuous learning are the basic principles Dr. Shayan Butt applies on a daily basis. Dr. Butt grew up in Pakistan and completed all of his education there. After graduation and initial medical training back home, he moved to the U.S. and completed residency training at Brandon Regional Hospital in Florida.
He has always been a teacher and he is excited to join the Core Faculty in this new program. His teaching philosophy includes trying to incorporate techniques from the Eastern part of the world along with modern advanced practices of the West in order to better equip the learner in all situations.
Dr. Butt lives with his beautiful wife and two children in Collierville, TN. During his off days, he loves to be with his family and spend maximum time doing different things together, like bike riding, exploring lakes and parks, going on road trips and dining out. Dr. Butt is eager to fulfill the role of an educator and a mentor to budding physicians.
